Gewürztraminer

Gewuerztraminer is originated in Alto Adige/Italy. There is the town Tramin where the name comes from. Gewürztraminer is a white grape variety tough the berries are “pink” coloured. Cultivating a Gewürtraminer is not easy. You need warm vineyard sites and good soils. It is a “non-profit variety” cultivated and vinified as a specialty. The small fruits have a high natural sugar and a moderate acidity. Its unique intense bouquet of roses, lychee and marzipan makes this wine distinctive. There are dry and sweet wines. You can match it to the Asian cuisine, to cheeses with a strong odor or to desserts.
