The season:
The 2008 vintage was particularly smooth from start to finish. Budbreak arrived on schedule in the spring. Healthy flowering led to a very even fruit set. The climate not too hot and not to cold offered the grapes a very long and slowly maturity season on the vines.
The harvest:
Harvest started pretty late. Sunny days, cool nights, less rain…..a relaxed start of vintage watching the fabulous healthy fruits hanging on the vines. Main harvest was in October after the fruits have achieved the perfect aromatical ripeness. The cool nights preserved the acidity level in the berries. Perfect conditions for winemaking!
2008, all wines show varietal integrity, depth and concentration! A cool-climate-year with a great aging potential!
