The vineyard site Eichberg is a elevation between Bischoffingen and Oberrotweil. Here we grow our “Pinot Noir SJ” on the highest point of the Eichberg. The vineyard is exponated from west to east, “sunkissed” the whole day. The soil is heavy, clay is mixed with volcanic soil. The water capacity is not very high. The deep roots of the old vines can arrive hidden water and nutrients. Our SJ from the Eichberg has a unique terroir character taste.
The name “Eichberg” you often find in Germany. Generally warm south-exponated hills are called Eichberg where in former times our ancestors oak trees were growing.
